University College Cork Visit
Ruben, Gabi, Maryanne, and Yvonne visited University College Cork on 27 January 2025, where they presented their research to the School of Psychology and held a productive morning of conversations to explore potential future collaborations.


“Open Source Evidence” Training for Ukrainian judges
Yvonne delivered a training on “Open Source Evidence” at the Bar Library of Ireland to Ukrainian judges who were visiting Dublin and Belfast as part of a research visit organised by the EU Assistance Mission and Irish Rule of Law International, on 28 January 2025. ”4M’s” Winter School
From 17-21 February 2025, Ruben took part in the ”4M’s” Winter School held at the University of Padua. The school involved learning about current open-science practices in Psychology, discussing the topics of Meta-research, Measurement, Multi-lab studies and Multiverse data analysis.

International Seminar on War Crimes Archiving
From 20-21 February 2025, Anne participated in an international seminar on war crimes archiving, organised by the Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto. Anne shared her research findings on the impact of deepfakes on efforts of documenting and prosecuting mass atrocities. Her presentation focused on the potential loss of trust in user-generated content. She further explored how existing protocols governing the use of open-source information can provide guidance for the documentation of mass atrocities in the light of the increasing proliferation of deepfakes and other forms of disinformation.

International Bar Association’s War Crimes Conference
On 5 April 2025, Yvonne and Anne attended the International Bar Association’s War Crimes Conference in The Hague, where Yvonne moderated a panel on “Disinformation: Truth-Seeking in the Digital Age”:
