Ruben at the EASP General Meeting in Strasbourg

From 1-4 July 2026, Ruben attended the triennial EASP (European Association of Social Psychology) General Meeting, held in Strasbourg, France. During the conference (Friday, 03/07), he presented a poster detailing his first study, which investigated the impact of feedback interventions on confidence-accuracy calibration.

Anne and Yvonne spoke to the Asymmetrical Haircuts podcast on an episode titled 'Seeing Isn't Believing: Deepfakes and Evidence'. The episode explored whether judges still believe the evidence presented to them and how courts deal with deepfakes and AI-altered images.

Yvonne was interviewed by the BBC's Social Media Investigations Correspondent, Marianna Spring, for an episode of flagship news programme Panorama on 'Scams, Lies, and AI'. The full episode can be accessed here.

Gabi chaired a session at the ISPP (International Society of Political Psychology) 2026 Annual Meeting, held in Newcastle from 16-19 July 2026. The conference theme was "Finding Common Ground in Uncertain Times” and Gabriela's session was titled "Perceptions, Misperceptions & Reasoning About Polarization”.

Rebecca and Nuria at CADAAD in Valladolid

Rebecca and Nuria presented TRUE project research at the Critical Approaches to Discourse Analysis Across Disciplines (CADAAD) conference at the University of Valladolid, Spain from 8-10 July 2026. The theme of this year's conference was "Beyond Physical and Symbolic Spaces: Methods and Challenges in Critical Discourse Studies". Rebecca and Nuria presented on 'Jury Deliberations as Genre: Mapping Institutional Discourse in the Age of Digital Evidence'.

Yvonne delivered sessions on 'Networks of Legal Resistance: Technology and Evidence' and 'International Criminal Law and the International Order' at the 55th annual René Cassin Summer Session in Strasbourg from 22-23 July 2026. From 27-31 July, she co-taught (with Jess Peake, UCLA) a summer course on 'Articficial Intelligence and Human Rights' as part of the Law Schools Global League Summer School, held this year at Queen's University Belfast.
